School climate refers to the overall environment of a school’s social and educational culture. It is a measurement of the quality of school life for students, staff, families, and communities. This includes a variety of factors: safety, teaching methods, interpersonal relationships, social supports, and school values.

School Climate Transformation Grant (SCTG)

海角社区 is committed to supporting Washington schools through the School Climate Transformation Grant from the U.S. Department of Education, and in partnership with the national PBIS Technical Assistance Center, NWPBIS and the University of Washington’s SMART center.

The collaborative effort of this five-year grant will build and sustain capacity for the implementation of an integrated system of behavioral support. From 2018-2023, the SCTG grant will provide training and coaching support to 30 identified school districts across Washington, serving 98,336 students.
